Craig thanks for this download.

Since you’re using wordpress and you’re already paying for the bandwidth, you might want to consider a wordpress plugin that will stream the audio… Here’s a link to one that’s free and works well for my clients:

WP Audio Player

Listening now, I’m into it 14min, so far so good — awesome idea on what to study to learn how to succeed ;)

Your audio player isn’t working (for me at any rate). It says error #2032

#1707. Marc Says:

I clicked refresh (like you mentioned) and it’s working now. Doooh!

Hey Craig,

Killer stuff! I listened to this call twice. You gave a ton of value in this and your words were right on.

Thanks,

Lonnie

Craig,

Wow, thanks for making it real. Very refreshing. I too am an American living abroad in Thailand. I enjoyed the hour of you sharing and not making it a 3-ring circus. It is so easy when trying to find the way to get caught up in all the hype, secrets and carrots. The IM community needs more people like you to help us common folk to be successful without spending our inheritance and filling our hard drives with useless, rehashed information. Wish you all the best in 2010.

WOW!! Craig, that was absolutely amazing and inspiring. I love the way you tell it like it is and right to the point.

Thanks you for your time and sharing your thoughts. It is truly appreciated.

Craig thanks for being so honest and straight forward on the call. I had already started to get off several mailing lists because I know that my main problem is focus and if I am ever going to have any amount of success on the internet I have to rid myself of all these distractions and focus on one project. After listening to the call I will go back and delete many more. I will however stay on your list!

This has has really hit the spot, especially about Amazon, Squidoo etc.

Craig I hear your message. The problem is that this message is getting drowned out by all of the Clickbank products that convey a different message. There are many big time marketers behind this and because of this, their methods have become the norm. Ordinary people digest this stuff, and to them it’s simply how it’s supposed to be done. Your message demands a big shift in mindset for many people who have already been programmed.

I’d like to suggest that you put together your own information product designed to show people how they can tap into their own talents and profit by providing value to others. Place the product on Clickbank and get affiliates to spread the word for you.

In order to reach the masses (and get compensated for your efforts) you need to create a product that has a low enough price point so that it becomes available to the masses. Right now you have price point jump that’s too big (from the free info on this blog to $100/hour consulting). This will always be a deterrent to many people. There’s also not enough time in your day to provide the masses with the info needed to help them make an income that conforms to your vision.

Standard marketing funnel theory says that you need a reasonably priced product to bridge the gap between free info and $100/hour. When people purchase this product they are then in a position to act on their own. If they feel they need more help, they can opt for your consulting. Every person that buys this product and acts on it is one less person polluting the internet with crap sites.

Your free info here is focused on mechanics which is useful to many people. But bridging the gap between mechanics and knowing how each person can identify how his own unique set of abilities can be translated into an online business should be the topic of this intermediate product. A free forum available to the purchaser would relieve you of the burden of providing the emotional support that many people need. By encouraging the forum members to freely express their own ideas, opinions and suggestions, you won’t find yourself in the position of having to be everyone’s father (which will only exhaust you). This allows people bounce ideas off each other. It’s impossible for an ebook to address all of the questions that will come up, hence the forum where the members help each other.

I think it would be a mistake to make this info free on this blog because you wouldn’t be able to tap into affiliates and the lists of JV partners to get the maximum spread of your ‘message’. Sorry if I’m pontificating here but that seems to be my writing style. Anyway, that my 2 cents.

What can I say? You’re absolutely right :-)

Thank you for taking the time to comment with your insights.

Much appreciated!

I’d also add, I totally agree with your thinking. So much so, I am in the process setting up low price point products for the masses with a back-end coaching program if they need more one on one care.

I’ve had a forum once over at wehelpnewbies.com and it was just as you said. Not going there again. If I ever do that again, maybe pop in once and a while.

Thanks Again!

Craig,

Great info-I started dumping memberships as a
New Years resolution. I’ve gotten rid of about a
dozen and still have about the same to go.
I’ve spent a boat load of time looking for the
“right” system-and never tried any. Them days
are over.

Mel

P.S. I found you thru Tiffany.
P.P.S. Where are you from-I think I grew
up on the next block.

#1739. Craig Says:

Hey Mel,

I’m was born and grew up in Providence, R.I. If you grew up on the next block, contact me :-)
