I have a problem with my wordpress website. I use firefox and when I go to my web site the main page loads just fine but when I click on on of the categories I get a redirect error message. I can do the same thing using Internet explorer and everything works fine.

Just recently started having this problem in firefox. I have custom structure set up in wordpress like this /%postname%/

I’d replace your webpage with a WordPress blog.

Now if you want to keep the webpage, you may want to get a new domain name such as http://www.insertblognamehere.com

Good Morning Craig.
Am ready to build my first blog, with the help of Your First WordPress Blog publication.

Have already managed to build my as yet ‘unfinished’ website – unsure how to continue – so have decided to carry on with creating the blog first, then finishing the website.

You mention getting a domain name and host – which I have done with my webpage. I did read somewhere that I should also use my webpage domain name and host for the blog. Is this correct?
If so, do I just make the blog as another page on my website, or should the blog be a completely separate entity?

Would appreciate your reply and advice on this problem.

okay, really lame question which I will apologize for in advance…. but I’d still like to know.
I am using the ghostwriting template, and the one complaint folks had with the site, was they wanted to see a different background color, with the inside of the “oval” staying white.
Is there any simple, non-dramatic way to change the background color, or is this just something that’s a super hassle to change?

I have two thoughts on this.

1. Produce great content so others naturally link back to you.

2. Go out and create pages on sites such as hubpages, wordpress.com. blogger, etc.. and then link them back to me.

Do you have any suggestions for successful back-linking for our newly created blogs? Manual vs automated? I’m not sure how (or who) to link to manually, and am unsure of a reputable automated company.

Hi Craig
I just uploaded your Crispy Clean theme and it’s mostly gone well.
When I edited a page (and also a blog entry) and then tried to view the change before publishing, I got the message “you don’t have permission to view changes”. I checked the settings but couldn’t find a likely fix for this.

Can you tell me how to fix this?
