Video is HOT

If you’re not adding video to your content creation for your blog, you may want to reconsider.

Video is HOT! I’ve heard youtube.com is now getting searched more than google.com now.

It makes sense. Think about it…
Who has time to read long winded text content if it’s not formatted in a way that makes it easy to consume?

And some of us would just rather consume content visually.

Why is that?

Fast and easy answer; some folks depend on what they see more than what they hear or feel.

I’m one of them. Meaning I think in images first.
I’m consistently telling my golf instructions to just stop talking and SHOW me. You save lots of time when you know the best and fastest way you learn.

People that like video tend to talk fast, think in images and need to SEE how things work.

Now show a video to someone that thinks in words like people that love to read, (These folks use big words and happen to be very articulate verbally.) they’ll dislike the video for the most part and feel uncomfortable.

Your content should at least hit on the two types of people. Yes, there are more but we’ll skip it today because it’s a mind bender.

Video is easy to make and I’ll be teaching it soon in something I’ll be doing.

So what is the primary way you like to consume content?

1. Audio?

2. Video?

3. Text?

If I’m in a hurry I’d rather scan text but for detailed how to info, video works great. I can memorize shopping lists more easily using visual images rather than memorizing a string of words.

It occurred to me that a string of words might be easily memorized if you connect them together in story. Anyway, it’s less work for me imagine the objects stacked up in some unusual way. Getting off topic lol.

Craig, the human brain has 3 channels for recording information: Visual. Hearing and Feeling. Experience has shown that the Visual channel is the most effective.
So your teaching on how to make videos will be most welcome.
