For those who have a need to capture the activities they are doing on their computer for later playback (for example, to give a demo of how to do something on a computer), Camtasia is software that can do this. I've never used it (have not yet put any video on my web site), but I've noticed that a lot of people seem to use it. Unfortunately, it's pretty pricey -- almost $300.

I looked around a little and found something called CamStudio that is a free alternative to Camtasia. Apparently it's not as feature-rich as Camtasia (no surprise, right?), but it might work for some people who are not ready to put down the bucks for Camtasia.

Just thought I'd mention the tiny bit I know about this type of video capture, in case someone might have a need for it. Has anyone else used either of these? If so, how do you like them?
