HI Craig.

Wonderful content. Helping bunches on getting my little blog running.

I noticed in one of your posts, a picture of WP 2.5 something showing a post being created. It appears you are using a plugin for wysiwyg. I have installed 2.6 and a plugin that is supposed to do that. I have a customized the toolbar as advised, but when I got to write a post I get all sorts of wierd buttons that I have never seen before doing html inerts into the content area.

Any suggestions or ideas? should i dump 2.6 and to 2.5 or what?

Thanks

OK folks, you're in.

Just call me on skype after 10PM or before 11am (Japan Time >>
Standard time zone:UTC/GMT +9 hours) and we can fix a time that works for us both.

Please pick one biggy outcome you'd like to see happen and we'll work on that. If not, we'll be all over the map and I have real bad "all over the map allergies" that must be avoided at all costs :-P

OMG Craig this post was sooo timely. I often find myself wondering "How can I get more folks leaving comments on my blog?"

I think that I'm super discombobulated lol and that's what I probably need help with.

You see my main website is a defined niche and this niche certainly fits into my blog, but my blog niche is a tad bit broader...I should probably change that?

Well I hope I'm one of the 3 and you can help me.....I think all of the questions you posed thus far are awesome and the first thing that EVERYONE starting a blog needs to do (heck, even us folks who already have a blog but are confused as to why we're not getting comments or traffic, etc.)

Thanks.

I for one am going to take you up on your offer. You were kind enough to suggest I call you last month. Even purchased the headset, downloaded skype as you recommended. And then everything I normally do during any given day came to a screeching halt thanks to a stupid accident - broke some bones!~
TO make matters more interesting my blog has been offline for the better part of a week. The htaccess file was corrupt, and now all the editing I did vanished. Back to square one.
1. Who am I talking to: rabid Harry Potter fans of all ages
2. As a custom knitwear designer, I would like to continue catering to fans who "demand" authenticity in their costuming props. I've already extended the costuming beyond HP so I would like to continue developing that niche.
3. Not sure if anyone has done what I do. in this specific niche. Been at it since 2002 and in the actual business since 1975. I feel fairly certain I was the first one out there [on the web, that is] specializing in this particular niche and I know for a fact that I am the first one to offer several specifically related products. The disturbing aspect is that I recognize my designs in the "copycats" - even my webcopy is being "copied". So much for copyrights.
4. What I am doing has been working like crazy since 2002, is on the downswing now [that's understood] but the niche can evolve into other costuming tangents.
5. Already do create products. Totally unique, customized products. Maybe related services?
6. Would like the blog to become the "interactive" aspect of what is currently a personalized service. My hope is to find a way to create a backend type product, which does not require any lengthy turnaround time - Offer related products? So far, the digital products have not worked.
The blog would bring more traffic to the site but I've already had to reduce production due to overwhelming demand. I know it is not a bad thing to have too many requests for products...but it becomes a problem when it is literally impossible to fill the orders. Biggest wish is to have something I can package and ship on a daily basis! My repeat customers now order as much as a year ahead, knowing that it is literally a case of first come, first served.

Ok...I bet Craig recognizes me now ;0)

Cheers from a steamy hot Washington d.c.. Di
Any suggestions?
