Would you like to know how not to do well blogging?
Okay here it is:
Start a brand new blog and fill it with ads.
I’m writing this because I’ve seen so many new blogs that are filled with ads and zero value.
People contact me often to look at their blogs and I’m shocked to see what they’ve built.
It’s as if they’ve drank the Internet Marketing cool-aid labeled “start a blog, fill it with ads and sit on the beach while millions roll in”.
A few subscribers mailed asking how to add an opt-in form to their blog so here’s how you do it…
You’ll need an auto responder service and before you ask, there is no BEST one. There are two major players in the market place and I use this one here which has a free trail.
Watch their video tutorials on how to configure your first mailing list.
Now you can watch the above video again and you’ll be golden.
Don’t forget to think through what is in it for the person you want to join your list.
People, including me are always thinking in terms of “What’s in it for me?” so make sure your wording for the opt-in box is user wants centered. Not needs. We all know what we need but our wants is what gets us to take actions.
This is super easy to do! But where you will trip up is getting the size right.

The music is a little loud in the beginning. Still working on getting that right but did not want to take 10 hours to get it “Perfect” because it’s best to learn as you go. Now, if you are selling content, make sure there are no obvious pains like “the music is too loud in the intro, etc..”.
If you’re not adding video to your content creation for your blog, you may want to reconsider.
Video is HOT! I’ve heard youtube.com is now getting searched more than google.com now.
It makes sense. Think about it…
Who has time to read long winded text content if it’s not formatted in a way that makes it easy to consume?
And some of us would just rather consume content visually.

I’m not sure what to do with “Your First Blog” guide I’m giving away here but I do know this, starting with it for you, is like putting the horse before the cart.
based on the feedback I’ve received, what people really need are concepts to start out with not mechanics.
The report I’m giving away now is all about mechanics and you should really not get into the mechanics until you’re clear on the concepts.
