One of my sites, I help newbies to understand all this internet marketing stuff. Just the basics because I’m far from some hot shot marketer with 1,000′s of people on his/her list. Tiffany Dow may disagree but the truth is, I just stick to the basics with a few sites and have no complaints.

Sometimes, people will ask me to work with them a little because what they’re doing is not working.
90% of the time the problem is, they did not do their research thoroughly.
I’m studying something now and wanted to share it with you because it serves as an excellent example of what happens in business when you do not do your research.

Rarely am I impressed with people selling online and a reflection of it is the amount of promotions I send out. You’d have to really over deliver and be a person of honor to get me to send a mail for you. And money is the wrong thing to dangle in front of me because it’s not the main focus.

I’m going through Wake Up Productive now and the quality of the content is some of the best I’ve seen online. One thing suggested in the program I started doing and words cannot describe how great I feel now. It has something to do with water and I do not drink it.
Something else I got was a bonus recording on information marketing which I loved. I don’t know how much I can say without getting in trouble but no one has talked about the mindset of selling info on the net better than Eben. I’m big on mindset because success is truly an inner game.

Kay asked, “How do I add an image to the sidebar; that is, the image of my book cover?”
I’d first make sure I have an image that is the right size… Too big and it’s going to look like crap, too small will not have an impact.
See the image in my sidebar of the free report I give everyone here? I’m going to show you how to do that.
Once you have the image the size you want, upload it to your images folder on your server via FTP. Now your URL to the image should be http://www.yoursite.com/images/image.jpg
Make a note of that cuz you’ll need it soon.
Log in to your WordPress admin panel, go to Design and then click on “Widgets“.
Line 2 is a title for the image. Can be anything you want.
Line 3 is the URL to the image. I asked you to make a note of this, now you know why.
Line 4 is text people will see just in case your image does not load. This too can say whatever you want it to. Make sure you change the size of the image too because what you see here is the size of my image.
By the way, are your visitors going to be able to click on the image to get the report? Are they going to have to join a list first?
The above is just on how to install an image in the sidebar of WordPress but how will they get the report?
Have a look at mine over to the right… If they have to join your list first, then having your optin form under the image like mine should do the trick. You can do this by adding the code from your auto responder right under your image code.

Good question.
I think doing this is a good idea if you’d like your visitors to know about what you offer and how they can sign up to your list. With this strategy, there are less leaks. Leaks meaning distractions away from taking the action you want them to take.
