A few subscribers mailed asking how to add an opt-in form to their blog so here’s how you do it…

You’ll need an auto responder service and before you ask, there is no BEST one. There are two major players in the market place and I use this one here which has a free trial.

Don’t forget to think through what is in it for the person you want to join your list.

People, including me are always thinking in terms of  “What’s in it for me?” so make sure your wording for the opt-in box is user wants centered. Not needs. We all know what we need but our wants is what gets us to take actions.

Pages and post guide

Getting lots of emails from people with broken themes. Broken meaning their side bar content is now at the bottom of the blog to the left when it should be at the top to the right.

100% of the time it’s because they are using pages wrong.

Many of these folks have no idea what pages and posts are and how to use them. All a part of learning something new

So I made a video teaching the difference between posts and pages.

Add youtube video to your Blog

This is super easy to do! But where you will trip up is getting the size right.

I cover both issues in the following video

The music is a little loud in the beginning. Still working on getting that right but did not want to take 10 hours to get it “Perfect” because it’s best to learn as you go. Now, if you are selling content, make sure there are no obvious pains like “the music is too loud in the intro, etc..”.

If you’re not adding video to your content creation for your blog, you may want to reconsider.

Video is HOT! I’ve heard youtube.com is now getting searched more than google.com now.

It makes sense. Think about it…
Who has time to read long winded text content if it’s not formatted in a way that makes it easy to consume?

And some of us would just rather consume content visually.

Why is that?
