Many folks downloading my free WordPress themes want to replace the header with a custom one and get rid of the title and blog description that overlays the header image. If you’re one of these fine folks, the following should help you out.
If the following seems a bit cumbersome you can easily find someone to do it for you for 10 to 20 dollars on any of the out sourcing sites such as rentacoder.com or even a marketing forum such as the Warriorforum.com
Just make a post asking for someone to make you a custom blog header for 10 bucks. No bits, offer 20. But please do read the following so you have an idea of what it takes.
By now you’ve heard all the hype about membership sites and how it’s a great way to make real good passive income. Well maybe not in the Internet marketing niche but in others such as herbs, cooking, health and fitness it’s like printing money.
It’s such a hot topic you can search membership sites and Google will come back with 3,250,000 listings.
I’ve been asked over and over what’s the best way to create a membership site with WordPress. I’ve yet to answer the question because there is no best way until this week.
I found a guy that puts the whole package together for you. His name is David Moskowitz. He also happens to live in Japan. He’s the GO-TO membership site guy to all the big time marketers.
Until now, to get a real robust membership site you’d have to have some hardcore techie skills or spend months learning how to build one. You can also spend a small fortune hiring a coder but even that is risky because coders are known for not finishing the job or taking your money and running for the hills. Last year one took me for 3k.

I’ve met David face to face and he’s a great guy but that’s not enough to get my money. He’s got to be competent and a master at what he does. Well he is and even though I can build membership sites myself, I’d rather pay David for the next one just so I don’t have to be bothered with it.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is everyone learns differently. My good friend Kevin loves to print out reports, bind them and read em as needed. That would drive me nuts! I need video. If I can see it, I really get it and get it FAST.

We talked about the importance of tracking yesterday using Google Analytics.
Today, let’s walk through the simple process of how to install Google Analytics so you never have to play the guessing game when it comes to where your visitors are coming from, how long they’re staying, etc…
1. Go to Google Analytics . Open a new account if you don’t have one.
2. Go to the bottom of the page and click on “Add Website Profile”
3. Add your domain address and click finish.
4. Click on New tracking Code (Not legacy), select and copy all code to a notepad document. Then click finished but keep this window open to Google Analytics.
5. Go to your blog’s admin and go to design > theme editor .
6. Click on “footer.php” and at the very bottom, past in the code you got from Google Analytics. make sure you click save at the bottom.
7. Go back into your Google Analytics and you should see something like the following image with a message saying “Tracking Installed.”
Give it a few days to collect some data.
A tip about checking stats: Don’t get too hung up over the stats because at the end of the day, it’s only feedback. If you’re not doing anything to get traffic, then the feedback will not be there.
Not getting into traffic today but try something new to get traffic and then watch your stats to see if it’s working or not.
