		<description>Craig,

I had already copied and pasted the google analytics code in a widget text box on my site. Does that mean I don&#039;t have to d/l the google analytics plug-in for wordpress??

Or should I delete the text box and add the plug in?? What is the difference if anything?

Thanks.

		<description>Hi Linda :-)

Paste all the code in the part of the plugin settings.

No need to have the code in each page, the plugin handles all that.

It&#039;s 1:31 AM here in Japan, I will post a Step by Step for this topic tomorrow for those that need it.</description>

		<description>Craig, thank you so much for this post. I did not see the plug in for Google Analytics at the bottom of the page. So I searched for it and downloaded the plug in. When configuring Google Analytics in my Wordpress blog, I am told the following:

   In the Google interface, when you &quot;Add Website Profile&quot; you are shown a piece of JavaScript that you are told to insert into the page, in that script is a unique string that identifies the website you just defined, that is your User Account string (it&#039;s shown in bold in the example below).

&quot;CODE DELETED&quot;

My question is this: I do not see any part of that tracking code in bold. Also, do I not install the entire tracking code on each page of my blog, or only insert the User Account String? And which part of the code is the user account string?

Thank you so much for your help
